Tweets Bubble Visualisation is a data-driven installation that visualises Twitter data in real time. Used for conferences and exhibitions, its aim is to engage the attendees and to give them a voice by inviting them to tweet and compete against each other. It catches the audience’s attention by visualising popular tweets in the form of bubble visualisation.
New tweets appear on the screen in no time. When that happens, profile photos are placed inside bubbles. These resize in real time, depending on the number of likes and retweets. Thanks to this approach, a personal relationship is built with the attendees who are encouraged to contribute towards an unforgettable event.
The solution is capable of handling and visualising thousands of tweets. It was installed at a number of events, including BigData Scotland, IoT Scotland, Data Talent Scotland, TEDxGlasgow.
